Train-lore

One of my favorite movies of all time was "Silver Streak" with Gene Wilder (anything with Gene Wilder would set me off laughing nearly uncontrollably...)  So I thought of that when I saw this silver train go streaking by.  What a vantage point we had!

There's just something about a working train yard that is fascinating to me...

So much movement & so many people involved...
Makes me wonder where everything is going...

Even the out-parcel buildings are interesting...

Of course there has to be a crossing sign... But what's that in the background....?

And WHO is the giant?????

Well, she is one of the other visitors at the Train Museum in Bryson City, NC!
And isn't this little carnival just the cutest thing?!

This was one of my favorites... When our son was a little boy, we drove by one of these every day on the way to school (to take his older sister).  He called them "lection-canaries" & everyone in our family still calls them that.

Hope you enjoyed your mini-tour of the train museum!

That is great! I was wondering what high vantage point you had to view all this and now I know it was your own two feet.:)

We went there two years ago and it was great! We got to ride in the open train cars and they were so fun. The kids had a blast... and so did the adults! The views were beautiful!
