Word Choice

It's amazing how our word choices can make such a difference: the obvious being using kind, helpful, encouraging words versus hurtful, hateful, discouraging words.


Then there are the words that are so similar yet have such different meanings.  Recently while going through a Corn Maze, searching for the six questions with answers I ran across this:

INHIBIT = prevent or prohibit someone from doing something
INHABIT =  live in or occupy


How interesting that one letter can make such a difference!!
In case you are wondering (since inquiring minds want to know) the answer is the Creek, the Cherokee, & the Shawnee.  Now you even know a little history of Ashe County, NC.

Oh my... the teacher in me screams at that one. lol So true!!! Just FYI, too, the Creek and Cherokee weren't the best of friends, either. ha!
